Is this something I can do myself? This is something every homeowner should do but few set aside the time commitment to do so. Partnering with Archived Assets will give you piece of mind knowing that you have a complete digital recall at the touch of a button.
How much does it cost? The cost is based on the size of your home.
Can you archive my information for me? Yes. At your request we will keep your video inventory on file at no additional cost to you.
How often should I update my file? We recommend updating your information annually unless you make a major purchase or add something of high value. We will come to you as often as needed.
Should I provide a copy to my insurance agent? This will vary from agent to agent. In the event you need to file a claim, we can forward your file to either your insurance agent or police.
Can you record important documents? Yes. We will scan any documents you feel are important and then import them onto your DVD.
Can you appraise items in my home? No. We are not certified appraisers but will be able to provide you with some referrals.
Do you document collections? Yes. Our services are also tailored to the needs of the collector -- stamps, coins, dolls, etc.
Can you recommend the amount of insurance we need? No. We are not licensed insurance agents. You would need to speak with your agent regarding the amount of insurance you should maintain.
How long will this take? This will be determined by the amount of content needing to be documented and the size of your home. On average, a 1,500 square foot home takes approximately an hour.
Do you provide me with a copy? Yes. We will provide you with two copies of your information on DVD. We recommend that you store them either in a safety deposit box or with a family member or friend.
